EURO CATERING TEAM UP WITH CSS TO EVOLUTIONISE PRESTWOLD HALL & THE HALL BARNS WITH GIORIK EQUIPMENT

Euro Catering have teamed up with CSS (Catering Support Services) to assist the stunning Prestwold Hall and the equally beautiful Hall Barns with a much needed catering equipment upgrade. Shaun Sterland, owner of CSS met with Head Chef Marc Billings and Sous Chef Chloe Williams to assess their needs & offer the perfect solution.

The main house needed something more than “just an oven”. It had to be reliable, professional, up-to-date & multifunctional. Ideally capable of steaming as they did not currently have the facility to do this. Hall Barns only runs on LPG & required a quality combination oven to help deliver food for the weddings & events they hold within this venue, with only 520mm of space to work with.After a visit to the Culinary centre of excellence at Euro Catering in Daventry, and meeting with Development Chef Darren Massey, Marc knew that the Giorik range was the way forward.

 

They selected the GIORIK evolution SERG101W – Gas 10 x 1/1GN Combi Oven, alongside the GIORIK Movair MTG10W-R 10 Rack Gas Combi/Bake off oven with wash system for the main house.

Hall Barns found the right fit with the GIORIK Kore – KIG101W 10 x 1/1GN Slimline Electric Combi Oven with wash system. Marc stated that the new Giorik units have opened up the door to a far more creative & ambitious style of cooking, allowing him to be braver & bolder when creating menus.

Chloe also notes that the Giorik Kore oven has enabled her to make the cuisine she dreamed of making at Hall Barns a reality. Marc is an incredibly talented chef with a strong Michelin star background and a passion for cooking.  He was a finalist in the prestigious 2019 National Chef of the Year competition and was a finalist again in 2021. Sous Chef Chloe, is following in Marc’s footsteps and has been using the Giorik KIG101W combination to test and prepare her recipes, she made it through to the finals in London of the Graduate Awards for the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Maverick Venues and both chefs are extremely happy with the consultancy advice, installations and technical training they have received from both CSS & Euro Catering. The project has been very successful for all parties and ultimately it’s the diners at both venues who will benefit most.
